Contractor Remodeler Update 2021
It has been quite a year, first we start of the year with a COVID Pandemic in February 2020 and follow it up with a new Residential Building Code at the end of March 2020. In April 2020 MN Contractors discovered a new education requirement was now required, a Business Administration Hour was added by legislative action. The year 2020 was not done with contractors yet, Residential Construction and its workers were deemed to be a “critical” and in a world that is truly upside down – Residential Construction boomed throughout 2020 helping shore up our nation’s economy.
Even if MN DLI hadn’t required a business hour, the events of 2020 sure demanded tightening up how we run our business. COVID requirements have added the mandatory COVID Preparedness Plan, and the booming economy is demanding more and more build starts. Do you have the labor pool to satisfy this demand, and more importantly – are you up to speed on the business protocols around hiring employees and subcontractors? Contractor Remodeler Update 2021 will cover these topics for you.
Also discussed is a look at load paths through three case studies, what was done incorrectly and what was needed to bring the structure up to code.
As always, Contractor / Remodeler Update 2021 class offerings start at 7:30 AM and end at 2:30 PM, include Coffee and Goodies in the AM and a box lunch. ProEd teaches through lunch getting you out the door and back to the jobsite so you can keep earning!
This course has been approved by the Department of Labor & Industry for 7 CE hours, including an hour of Energy and an hour of Business Administration.
